"A little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing." This is a song for the legions of Americans who base their fears, prejudices and sweeping judgments on incomplete information. Imagine a radio news piece old man Stanley is listening to. It's a news piece about a new study revealing that most accidents happen in the home, or that most car accidents happen in shopping-plaza parking lots, etc. But all poor Stanley has to hear is the first few words, and he goes running into the other room saying, "Hey, Ethel, did you hear? There's a new study: Most accidents happen!" And so they resolve to pretty much never leave the house again.
